In 2017 I was coming close to leaving my life behind in Louisiana. A desire to steep a while in the sounds and musical traditions brought me all the way from Vancouver Island, Sonny Landreth was one of the magnets that drew me.

I found out he was playing a small theater in Lafayette, and I scrambled trying to find a way there. My good friend Roxy listened to my dilemma..."take my car".

That night in a way summed up all the friends, adventures and music I had made. Sonny was doing a live recording that night, and I can relive it every time I listen to "Recorded Live in Lafayette
