My grandma had sadly passed away a year ago and music helped me recover and heal from the loss. I was preparing the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow for my audition into Wexford School of the Arts. The news of my grandmother's passing was so sudden and my family was saddened by the loss. The loss was hard for me but I found hope through music. I put my emotions into the music and I preformed the piece at my grandma's funeral. This song was written by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole and was preformed by Judy Garland. Sadly Israel Kamakawiwo'ole had also passed. I know that my grandma is now Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
